As in previous years, the Museum Railway Association will organize a volunteer work weekend for young people in the weekend of 25. and 26. of April 2015. The weekend is designed to introduce young people to the Museum Railway activities and at the same time to show how to maintain and restore the rolling stock. Also the ones who have been volunteering before are welcome too. The program is made for young people and includes in addition to volunteer work train and trolley rides. Also, older, 15-18 years old have this time organized activities for them.
The Museum Railway Association offers weekend breakfasts, lunches and evening snack. Saturday night sauna will be warmed and there will be a barbeque. take your bed linen or sleeping bag, towel and a good mood with you!
The weekend is all free of charge and does not require the Museum Railway Association's membership, so that all interested are welcome to a nice weekend getaway and to get to know a versatile hobby!

Museum railway is suitable hobby also for young people - boys or girls. It is possible to become a volunteer in age of 12. Many of Jokioinen Museum Railway volunteers are members of Museum Railway Association, but the membership is not mandatory to became a volunteer.
Are you a youth between 2-18 years old, interested in railways or just wanting to have a new hobby?
The Museum Railway Association will organize the annual youth volunteer weekend at Jokioinen Museum Railway on 26.–27.4.2014. The program will include at least steam train rides, hand trolley trips, organized volunteer work sessions, and of course sauna, barbeque and nice time together.
The very popular Junior weekend will be hold for third time on 20.-21.4.! The program is already traditional including train rides, hand car rides, light volunteer work at the railway and of course some grilling and the sauna ath the end of the day. You do not need to be a member of the Museum Railway Association to participate, only requirement is that you are between 12 and 18 years old.
Second voluntary weekend for junior museum railway fans took place in the end of April. At this time ten boys from seven to fifteen years of age enjoyed a weekend full of railroading, eating and light voluntary work tasks. Although weather was rather cold, everyone seemed to be happy with many new friends.
